WAEC conducts two exams: SSCE (internal) for school candidates & SSCE external (formerly, GCE) for private candidates.
WAEC SSCE (internal) and WAEC GCE Physics syllabus are the same.
Because all the topics where your Physics questions will be asked from in SSCE (internal) are also found in the WAEC GCE Physics syllabus.
How many questions are asked in WAEC Physics exam?
Whether it is WAEC internal or GCE Physics, you’ll answer a total of about 160 questions in three compulsory Physics papers.
- PAPER 1: will have 80 objective or multiple choice questions to be answered in 1 hour 40 minutes.
- PAPER 2: will have three sections with about 19 theory questions for you to answer in 2 hours.
- SECTION A – will have 5 essay topics for you to answer 1.
- SECTION B – will have a passage after which 7–9 theory questions follow for you to answer all.
- SECTION C: will have a passage after which 2–5 theory questions follow for you to answer all.
- PAPER 3: will last for 45 minutes with 60 objective questions on Test of Oral for Nigeria & Liberia and Listening Test for Ghana, Sierra Leone & The Gambia.
