Voiced consonant /r/
Consonant sound /r/ is pronounced like that FIRST sound when you say “ree”.
Its pronunciation is similar with CONSONANT SOUND /n/ — but in /r/ the tongue is pushed even further back from your front teeth and almost touching the inner roof of your mouth.
Consonant /r/ sound is VOICED, so there is a vibration in your throat when pronounced.
